TEACHER AIDE/ CAFETERIA MONITOR- ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $16.50 /hour

Hours: 13.75 hours per week (Monday - Friday 11:10am - 1:55pm)

Location: Windermere Boulevard School

Description:

We are seeking a caring and dependable Cafeteria Monitor to support students in Kindergarten through 5th grade during lunch periods. This role is essential in helping create a safe, welcoming, and well-organized cafeteria environment for our students. 

    Key Resposibilities:

  • Assist students with retrieving their lunches and opening food items as needed.
  • Supervise and support students to ensure a safe and respectful cafeteria experience.
  • Encourage positive student behavior and interactions during mealtime.
  • Perform light cleaning duties, such as wiping tables and maintaining cafeteria tidiness.
  • Collaborate with school staff to maintain smooth lunchroom operations.       

Qualifications:

  • Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education prior to start date (fingerprint procedures attached)
  • Experience working with elementary students preferred.
  • Enjoy working with elementary-aged children (K–5).
  • Ability to provide supervision with patience and care.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
