SALARY $41,188. - Commensurate with experience

DESCRIPTION / QUALIFICATIONS:
Administrative Assistant for the Amherst Middle School Counseling Center.
- The NY HELPS (Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Program Statewide) is a New York State program that allows civil service agencies to hire qualified permanent employees quickly and without requiring them to take a competitive civil service exam.It is created to help agencies fill critical vacancies by streamlining the appointment process, though candidates must still meet all other minimum qualifications for the job.

- Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education (required for new employees) - fingerprint procedure- attached
- Clerical experience/knowledge
- Experience with Google platform preferred
- Detail oriented/Organized
- Good written and oral communications
- Ability to communicate effectively/cooperatively with others
Typical work activities:
- Assists with New York State Testing
- Schedules counseling, 504 and IST meetings
- New student enrollment
- Supports the PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Department
