PART-TIME TEACHING ASSISTANT
LOCATION: Smallwood Drive School
HOURS: 16.5 Hours/Week
START DATE: September 8, 2026
SALARY: $19.50/hour, plus payment for additional credit hours, if applicable
DESCRIPTION:
The Teaching Assistant will assist with routine classroom functions, assume teacher responsibilities, conduct classroom activities and assist with required paperwork in classrooms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- TEACHING ASSISTANTS MUST HAVE A TEACHING ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION OR NYS TEACHER CERTIFICATION OR WORKING TOWARDS EITHER OF THESE CERTIFICATIONS.
- Must be fingerprinted by the NYS Department of Education Fingerprint Procedure - attached
- Experience working with elementary students preferred (K-5)
