LOCATION: Amherst Middle School
ANTICIPATED HOURS: 8:30AM - 10:30AM (Monday - Thursday) -*5 preparation hours per Teacher-prorated if job sharing*
SALARY: $36 / Hour
START DATE: July 9, 2024
DATES OF PROGRAM: July 9, 2024 - August 1, 2024
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid NYS Teaching certification (**see specific certifications below**)
- Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education prior to start of employment (See below):
Fingerprint Procedures
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
TEACHERS develop lessons and provide instruction to middle school students participating in a four-week, in-person Summer Skills program (Grades 5- 7). Reports to the Middle School administration. Certifications to be considered :
- Elementary Education 1-6**
- English Language Arts** (7-12) with 5/6 extension
- Mathematics** (7-12) with 5/6 extension
- Social Studies** (7-12) with 5/6 extension
- Special Education**
